What a way to end an era! Spireites favourite Jack Lester rounded off his career at Chesterfield FC by scoring two of the goals that saw town beat Exeter four nil!
As he left the pitch at the Proact Stadium, Jack received a standing ovation from the Chesterfield crowd – and from Exeter supporters as well!
Lester recently told his fans, “I’ve decided to retire from football in the summer, which has been a tough decision. I’ve got some opportunities coming up to observe coaching around the world. I’ll get an insight into some international sports psychologists, using their expertise. I’m also doing some coaching in America.”
One thing is for sure – that’s the love and appreciation that Lester feels from the Spireites – truly a legend in his own lifetime.
