Chesterfield Against Incineration
Chesterfield Against Incineration is an action group
opposed to building of a gasification / incineration
plant in Chesterfield.
The
proposed incinerator uses the controversial gasification
technology which can be a major health hazard according
to the group's technical expert, Dr Dick van Steenis,
a veteran campaigner against incinerators.
On Thursday 8th January there was a public meeting
at the Winding Wheel where representatives of Cyclamax,
the company seeking planning permission, met the group,
Paul Holmes MP, Toby Perkins and members of the public.
More on this later.
We support this group and will be reporting on its
campaign.
